Bell UH-1D - Helicóptero Ligero de Transporte (by Dornier)

El helicóptero ligero utilitario y de transporte UH-1D “Iroquois” fue diseñado y construido a mediados de los 50 por Bell, el fabricante de los E.E.U.U., como resultado de un concurso de diseño organizado por el Ejército de los Estados Unidos. El 26 de octubre de 1965 el Ministerio de Defensa de Alemania firmó, con la compañía Bell, un acuerdo que cubría la licencia de producción por parte de la industria aeronáutica en Alemania Occidental. Dornier era el contratista principal para este programa, bajo el cual se construyeron un total de 352 helicópteros de ese tipo para las Fuerzas Armadas de Alemania Federal (Bundeswehr) y la Policía de Fronteras de Alemania Federal (Bundesgrenzschutz) hasta el 19 de enero de 1971.

Bell UH-1D Light Transport Helicopter

The UH-1D "Iroquois" light utility and transport helicopter was designed and built in the mid-1950s by Bell, the U.S. manufacturer, as a result of a design competition organized by the U.S. Army. An agreement covering the licence production by the aircraft industry in Southern Germany was signed on 26 October 1965 by the German Ministry of Defence and the Bell company. Dornier was prime contractor for this programme, under which a total of 352 helicopters of that type were built for the Federal German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr)and the Federal German Border Police (Bundesgrenzschutz)until 19 january 1971.
