New trouble for Swedish #NH90 (#Hkp14), as the flight hour cost is 20.2k EUR, making the Air Force consider mothballing all TTH and use only UH-60M for ground support. Two points: #turpo=#säkpol— Corporal Frisk (@CorporalFrisk) 8 de febrero de 2018
1. The #NH90 vs #Blackhawk is not an apples to apples comparison, as NH90 is e.g. both larger/heavier and faster (which add operating costs). However, if you don't need those differences in day to day ops, the added cost is hard to justify.— Corporal Frisk (@CorporalFrisk) 8 de febrero de 2018
2. Finnish Army estimated last year that flight hour costs for #UUTJR's NH90 (in FOC/IOC+ configuration) would be 15.9k EUR for 2017. Still high, but 20+% cheaper than the Swedish number. Finnish Army has passed 10k flying hours and is (officially at least) happy with them.— Corporal Frisk (@CorporalFrisk) 8 de febrero de 2018
